September 2015 was 0.90°C (1.62°F) warmer than the 20th century average of 15.0°C (59.0°F), surpassing the previous record set in 2014 by 0.12°C (0.19°F).
September 2015 was the fifth consecutive month a monthly high temperature record has been set.
